Sustainability Scale
IC_17Visitors arrange 3D icons on a suspended scale to influence the balance of different components. A variety of icons are available to be selected and tested on the mobile scale. Certain sets of icons will be balanced, while other choices will show a state of imbalance. This open-ended activity abstractly models how the management of resources and human needs and actions can be sustainable or not.

Types of Recycling
IC_07There are four chambers on the setup table and moving tapes on them. One part of the tape is transparent and one
part is opaque. The visitor observes the product transformations by rotating the handles on the table.
The apparatus on the left moves the bands on the upper chambers and the apparatus on the right moves the bands on the lower chambers.IC_07 - IC_05
Water Consumption at Home
IC_05Visitors press buttons representing the water consumed by various household items, appliances and actions to see the amount of water they consume, represented by a series of water bins rendered as buttons. The number of lit bins indicates how much water we consume when we use each fixture or appliance.

World Climate Map
IC_04It is a device where visitors can recognize the different climate types seen in the world. There is a puzzle piece for 5 climate types based on Köppen climate classification. These climate classes are A (Tropical Climates), B (Arid Climates), C (Warm Temperate Climates), D (Cold Snow Climates), E (Polar Climates). On the floor where the pieces will be placed, there is a world map print on the led light panel. Videos will play on the screen when the piece is attached to the area for each of the 5 different climate classes.
