Archimedes Helix

Archimedes’ Archimedes Auger, one of Archimedes’ important inventions, has been used in many fields such as mining, shipping and agriculture for centuries and is still used today. Archimedes’ auger is a device for extracting water from a low place to a high place and is known to have been used to empty ship holds in the past. In this device, balls are transferred from bottom to top with a 3 cm diameter auger.
