E_02Visitors can see through a screen with videos showing how biofuels are produced by matching the surrounding signs with the rotating disk. When the disk is rotated, the top image is illuminated, triggering a video animation loop that runs on the monitor. Visitors learn what kind of fuels are made from selected biomass sources.

Bulb Types
E_01It is a device that deals with the selection of economical light bulbs based on the amount of electricity consumed by different types of light bulbs. There are 3 different types of light bulbs on the table: incandescent lamp, CFL (fluorescent), LED. To produce the same amount of light, LED bulb needs 9 W, CFL needs 13 W and incandescent lamp needs 60 W electricity.

Earthquake Energy
E_04It is necessary to make a simple construction by combining various interlocking geometric parts. After the construction is placed on the movable plate on the table, the “earthquake intensity” is adjusted with the help of the control panel. The acceleration magnitude of the mechanism activated by turning the knob can be seen on the digital display.

Fossil Fuels and the Greenhouse Effect
E_07Visitors observe the greenhouse gas effect on the surface of the 3D acrylic sphere, whose formation is represented by colored light. In order for the effect to become visible, the visitor is expected to move forward using the menu on the screen. In parallel to the narrative in the menu, the warming of the earth is represented by the changing lights reflected on the sphere.

Geothermal Energy
E_12Visitors control a geothermal heating/cooling system to see how heat is transferred from its source through heat pumps and heat exchangers, and ultimately how a building is heated and supplied with electricity. The heat exchange system and electricity distribution are represented by LED lighting. Visitors change seasons (winter to summer and vice versa) represented on a moving disk (graphic backdrop) that switches the system from heating to cooling (and vice versa) to match seasonal weather conditions.

Gray Energy
E_08By pulling the arms on the mechanism to the sides, the seat in the middle is divided into two parts. The visitor can see the inside of this product. Behind the installation there is information about the circular economy. It is emphasized that products are made up of many parts and therefore it is important to reduce consumption and recycle.

Lightning Machine
E_20The High Voltage Climbing Arc is a familiar piece of equipment for all science fiction fans and the standard laboratory device for all mad scientists. A small spark starts at the bottom of a pair of “V” shaped electrodes, moves upwards and grows as the gap between the electrodes widens. At the top of the electrodes the spark exits and the cycle repeats.

Nuclear Energy
E_14A city’s energy needs vary according to the season and time of day. You are expected to plan the energy you will produce with this information. You are asked to select a season and time of day from the unit. You can then control it by raising the control bars to release energy and lowering them to reduce it. If you produce too much energy, the unit’s alarm will sound and the reactor will stop working.

Solar Power Plants
E_09The unit explains the system and the conversion of solar panels into electrical energy and shows the energy produced by the solar panels. The display has a welcome screen with instructions for use. The user touches the screen to start. It progresses by following the menu with language selection. With the interface design that visualizes the digital content, the user learns how solar panels produce energy and how this energy is converted into electrical energy with visuals and information texts.
